Meet Dr. Katie Zaremba

I am a functional medicine specialist with a focus on women's health and preconception care. Through my comprehensive approach, I take time to understand the root cause of fertility challenges and other hormonal concerns, to develop individualized plans for each of my patients.

My personal journey with natural medicine started after a severe flare of Ulcerative Colitis. I was told that medication was my only solution. At one point, was told that I would likely have difficulty conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy without these medications. After medication failed to help me and I was  hospitalized for an ovarian cyst rupture, I realized there had to be something else I could do. I worked with a functional medicine doctor to find the root cause of my issues and healed. After spending years improving my digestive and hormonal health, my health and happiness is so much better and I have a healthy baby girl of my own.

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and earned my doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. In addition, I completed my post-doctoral education through the Council on Diagnosis and Internal Disorders (CDID). With this specialization, I currently hold a diplomate as a board certified chiropractic internist (DABCI) and am board eligible for my Diplomate American Clinical Board of Nutrition (DACBN).

Prior to launching my own online practice, I was the clinical director of Women's Health at Gateway Natural Medicine. During my time spent there, I saw patients with hormonal and infertility issues. I continue to help support women struggling to conceive as well as women with other hormonal complaints not related to fertility.

 

I am currently a lecturer for the DABCI program and have taught additional courses on interpreting labs and specialized tests, and preconception nutrition.
