A Little Bit About Me.

We All Start Somewhere.

First Belief

The body can heal when given the proper tools.

Second Belief

Fertility and hormonal issues are symtoms of another underlying issue.

Third Belief

Every patient deserves to be heard and have a plan of action to reach their goals.

I'm Dr. Katie Zaremba

I am a functional medicine specialist with a focus on women’s health and preconception care. Through a comprehensive and personalized approach, I help women and couples uncover the root causes of infertility, miscarriage, and hormone imbalances. I also work with women navigating PCOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, and digestive issues, even if pregnancy is not the goal.

My care focuses on addressing the whole body, including hormones, digestion, immune function, and lifestyle, to create lasting change.

This is My Story.

My personal jour for this work began after a severe flare of Ulcerative Colitis. I was told medication was my only option and warned that I might have difficulty conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy. When the medication failed and I was hospitalized for a ruptured ovarian cyst, I felt frustrated, angry, and completely disconnected from my body. I turned to functional medicine, worked with a practitioner to find the root cause, and began to heal. After years of focusing on my gut and hormone health, I not only restored my well-being but also gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Later, I experienced a miscarriage, which gave me even more compassion for the women and couples I now support. I understand the grief, the drive to know why, and the emotional toll of being told everything looks normal when nothing feels right.

My training includes a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Western Michigan University and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. I completed post-doctoral education through the Council on Diagnosis and Internal Disorders and hold a diplomate as a Board Certified Chiropractic Internist (DABCI). I am also board eligible for my Diplomate with the American Clinical Board of Nutrition (DACBN). Prior to launching my own practice, I served as the Clinical Director of Women’s Health at Gateway Natural Medicine, where I worked extensively with infertility and hormone-related cases.

Today, I continue to support patients in private practice while also teaching other practitioners. I am currently a lecturer for the DABCI program and have taught additional courses on interpreting lab results, functional testing, and preconception nutrition.

My Approach

What makes my approach different is the depth of investigation and personalization I bring to every case. I use comprehensive blood work and functional testing to build evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient.

Many of the individuals and couples I work with come to me feeling unheard or dismissed, often with no clear answers for symptoms that are impacting their fertility or overall health. Through this detailed testing, I frequently uncover hidden issues like nutrient deficiencies, infections, autoimmune conditions, and gut dysbiosis.

I address these imbalances using targeted dietary changes, lifestyle support, and natural therapies. My patients appreciate that I take the time to truly listen, explain the reasons behind their symptoms, and guide them through a plan that supports real healing.
